Our company is located in Mundera Kala, which is over in the Maharajganj area of Uttar Pradesh. We are based out of Varun Kumar Pandey’s place. Mithaura Maharajganj Farmer Producer Company Limited was started because a few of us realized we were all facing the same problems with our crops and the prices we were getting. We aren't professional businessmen. We are just people who know how to plow and plant. Being in a group helps us when we need to buy things like fertilizer in bulk, which saves a little bit of money for everyone. It’s a quiet village life for the most part, though harvest season gets everyone moving fast. We don't have a big staff or anyone to answer phones all day. If we aren't in the fields, we are probably over at the house talking about the weather or the state of the roads. We just want to keep the farms running and maybe make things a little easier for the people living around here. There’s no secret to what we do. It’s just hard work and trying to stay organized with the help of our neighbors. We’ve had some tough times, especially when the rains don’t come when they should, but having the company means we don't have to face those things completely alone anymore. It’s been a learning process for all of us, but we’re getting the hang of it now.
