Kampierganj Banana Producer Company Limited

Our group, Kampierganj Banana Producer Company Limited, is based right here in Village Ramchaura. If you know the area in Tehsil Campierganj, you probably know where House No. 59 is. That’s where we do most of our organizing. Bananas are the main thing for us because that is what grows well in this part of the dirt. We aren't trying to be some massive corporation with a glass building. We are just local farmers who wanted to work together instead of everyone trying to do everything alone. Sometimes the weather is good and the bunches are heavy, and other times we just have to deal with whatever comes our way. The police station and the tehsil office are not too far from us, so it’s a central enough spot for everyone to meet up. We spend a lot of time talking about the trees and how to keep the pests away without spending too much money. It’s hard work and your hands get dirty every single day, but that’s just how it is. There are a lot of families involved in this now. We don't really have a boss telling people what to do in a mean way. We just talk through what needs to happen next for the harvest. Most of the time, someone is over at the house checking on the latest news about the market or just resting after a long day in the fields. We hope to keep doing this for a lot of years to come.
