Viswam Institute Fire$Safty College

Located at number 1, S.N. College Road in the Perungudi area of Madurai. We focus on fire and safety training here. It is a very specific type of school, so the atmosphere is quite serious and practical. We have all sorts of safety gear hanging on the walls and extinguishers in every corner for practice. Our students come from all over the 625022 area because they want to learn a skill that actually saves lives. We do a lot of physical drills where students have to learn how to handle emergencies. It is not just about reading books in a quiet room. The building itself is pretty plain, just a regular concrete structure that we have occupied for years. Some of the equipment is a bit older, but it is the kind of stuff you actually find in real buildings, so it is good for learning. Our instructors are former safety officers who do not have much patience for fluff. They tell the students exactly what can go wrong and how to fix it. Sometimes the neighbors see us doing drills with smoke or ladders, but they are used to it by now. We are a small part of the Perungudi community and we keep to ourselves mostly. We do not have a big office or a fancy reception area. If you come by, you will likely find us in the middle of a training session out back with the students.
