Thangam Salon

Thangam Salon is located right on the Madurai Main Road in Vadipatti. If you are looking for our place, we are situated directly opposite the Vadipatti Police Station. It’s a very handy landmark for anyone who isn't from around here or is just passing through on the main road. We’ve been operating this salon for a good number of years now. It’s just a simple room with a couple of chairs where we do regular haircuts and shaves. Being on the main road means there’s a lot of dust and noise from the buses and lorries passing by all day, but we’ve long since gotten used to it. We get a real mix of people, from travelers stopping for a quick tidy-up to the locals who have lived here in Vadipatti their whole lives. The shop isn’t decorated with anything special, just some old posters on the wall and the basic tools of the trade on the counter. We don’t have a big team of people, just a couple of us working through the day as people come in. Sometimes there’s a wait for a chair, but people don’t seem to mind sitting for a bit and watching the heavy traffic go by outside the door. We don’t promise anything fancy, just a normal service for a price that people can afford. It’s a straightforward way to run a business in a place like this.
