Hi Cut Salon

Hi Cut Salon is situated in K Pudhur, which is a busy area in Madurai. Specifically, we are on East Avani Moola Street. If you know Madurai, you know how these streets can get, especially when the sun is out and everyone is moving about. The shop is a simple place where we do haircuts and grooming for the local men and boys. We have been here for a bit, and we know many of the faces that walk through the door. The interior is just basic, with some benches for waiting and the main cutting area. We don't use any fancy language to describe what we do. It’s just about picking up the scissors or the clippers and getting to it. Sometimes the street outside is very loud with the traffic and the street vendors, but we just keep working through it. We open up early because people like to get their hair done before the heat gets too bad in the middle of the day. The floor gets covered in hair pretty fast, so we are always sweeping up between customers. It’s a small shop, but it serves the K Pudhur community well enough. We don't have a big staff, just a couple of us who know how to handle the tools. Most people come in for a quick trim or a shave on their way to work. It’s a regular part of life here in Tamil Nadu.
