Ayappass Hair Beauty Sallon

Ayappass Hair Beauty Sallon is located at No 20 on Sonaiyar Koil Street in the Narimedu area of Madurai. We are quite close to the Saraswathi Cinema Hall, which most people around here know well. The shop has been a part of this street for a good while. Madurai gets very hot, so we try to keep the fans going as much as we can inside. It’s a basic hair and beauty spot. We handle both men and women, though it depends on the time of day who shows up more. The 625002 area is a nice part of town. You can hear the sounds of the street and sometimes the music from the cinema hall if it’s loud enough. We have a few mirrors and the usual sinks for washing hair. The floor is tiled and we spend a lot of time sweeping up hair. It’s not a glamorous job, but it’s ours. We know the people on Sonaiyar Koil Street pretty well. They stop by to chat even if they don’t need a haircut. Sometimes we have a little tea together. The sign outside is a bit faded from the sun, but people still find us. We don't have any big slogans or anything. We just open the doors in the morning and wait for the first customer to walk in. It’s a quiet life in Narimedu, and we’re happy to be here. We keep our combs in jars of blue water and make sure the towels are always dry.
