Sachin Hair Cutting Saloon

Sachin Hair Cutting Saloon is my place on Kulamangalam Main Road in Madurai. We are located pretty close to Veeranadevar Mahal, which is a big landmark that most people around here know. I started this shop because I wanted to work for myself in my own neighborhood. Madurai can get very hot, so having a place where people can come in and sit down for a bit is good. It is a simple saloon. I don’t have any big signs or neon lights. It is just a shop with a couple of chairs where I do the cutting. Most of my customers live on the streets nearby or are just passing through Kulamangalam. We talk about local things, like the temple festivals or how the crops are doing outside the city. The pin code here is 625017. I’ve kept the prices where they are because I know the people who live around here. It isn't a place for anything complicated. People just want a decent cut and maybe a bit of a conversation. I do it all myself mostly. On busy days, it can get a little crowded, and people might have to wait on the bench outside or near the door. But that is just how it is. It is a local spot for local people. I enjoy the work and seeing the same faces come back every few weeks. It feels like a small family in this part of Madurai.
