Ramar Salon

Ramar Salon is over at No 509/2 in the Jamaad Building. We are situated on Cholavandhan Road in Tirumangalam, Madurai. If you are looking for us, we are right across from Vijayalakshmi Radios. Our area code is 625706. The shop is a small, honest place where I spend most of my hours. I have a few old chairs that have seen a lot of use but they are still comfortable enough for a quick sit. I like being on Cholavandhan Road because it has a good mix of shops and houses. I know the people at the radio shop across the street quite well. Most days follow a similar pattern for me. I open the shutters, sweep the floor, and wait for the first customer of the day. Sometimes it is a regular who has been coming for years, and other times it is someone new just passing through town. I don't do any complicated styling or modern trends, just the standard cuts that most men around here want. The Jamaad Building is an easy place to find once you are on the main road. Inside, I keep my scissors sharp and my razors ready. It can get pretty warm in Madurai, so I make sure the fan is always running for the customers. People come here not just for a haircut, but sometimes just to sit and take a break from their busy day. I don’t try to make it something it isn’t. It’s just a local barbershop where we work.
