P Muniyandi Hair Cutting Salon is on the 7th street in Karpaga Nagar, right here in Tirumangalam. We are pretty close to the ration shop, so there is always some movement around here. My shop is in the Sekar Complex. It is not a very big place, just enough for some chairs and mirrors. Every morning I come in, sweep the floor, and get things ready for whoever walks in. Madurai gets very hot, so we try to keep the shop feeling okay for people when they sit down. It is mostly people from the neighborhood who come by. They talk about their families or what is happening in the news while I work. Sometimes there is a wait when it gets busy on Sundays. I have been doing this for a while now. We like it that way.
