P Baruah School Of Nursing is situated over by the YMCA Kamak High School in the Visalakshi Puram area of Madurai. We have been here at this location for a while now. It’s a place where students come to learn the basics of nursing and healthcare. Madurai City is always humming with activity, and our little corner is no different. The building isn't anything special to look at from the street, but it houses everything the students need. We have classrooms and some practice areas where they learn how to handle patients. It’s a serious environment because the work they are learning is serious. Most of the people here are either studying or teaching, so there isn't much time for fluff. We don’t have a big corporate office or a marketing team telling us what to say. We just tell people where we are and what we do. The heat in Madurai can be a bit much in the middle of the day, but we just keep the fans going. Our students come from different parts of the state, staying in nearby hostels or commuting. It’s a practical school for people who want to get into the medical field. We don't use big words to describe ourselves. We are just a nursing school in Visalakshi Puram trying to help students get through their training and move on to their jobs in hospitals.
