New Welcome Salon

New Welcome Salon is situated on Market Road on Kaller Street in Sholavandan. Being so close to the Daily Market means we see a lot of activity every single day of the week. People often come in after they finish doing their shopping or before they head home from a long day of work. It’s a convenient spot for the locals who don't want to travel far. The shop itself is pretty modest and we like it that way. We have the usual setup for a barber shop with the big mirrors and the jars of combs sitting on the counter. It can get pretty loud with the market nearby, but we don't mind the noise much anymore. We’ve been cutting hair here for many years, and we’ve seen the market area change quite a bit over that time. We don’t use any fancy marketing tricks or try to look like something we aren't. People come to us because they know where we are and they know exactly what they are going to get. A simple haircut, a quick shave, or maybe a head massage if we aren't too busy with a line. The benches inside are a bit old and creaky, but they do the job for anyone waiting. We try to keep things friendly but we mostly just focus on getting the hair cut right. It’s a small town vibe where everyone knows each other.
