Murugan Salon

I started Murugan Salon over in Palanganatham a while back. It’s right there at No 7 on the Sathya Sai Nagar Main Road. If you live around Madurai, you probably know the area. It’s not a big fancy place, just a regular shop where we do haircuts and shaving. Most people around here just drop in when they have time after work or on the weekends. I've been working here for years and seen the neighborhood change quite a bit. We keep things simple. Usually, it’s just me or a couple of us working the chairs. We don't have a website or anything like that. People just know where we are. It gets busy on Sundays, so sometimes there is a little wait, but we try to move fast. It's just a local spot for a quick trim. The address is 625003 if you’re looking it up on a map, but mostly locals just walk over. We have old fans and basic chairs, nothing special but it does the job. I like talking to the regulars who come in every month. Some have been coming since they were kids. That’s how it is here in Madurai. We just keep the scissors moving and make sure everyone looks decent before they leave. No loud music, just the TV running in the corner usually.
