Madurai Kamaraj University

This is the Madurai Kamaraj University office located at 9/5 Sadayandinagar. We are right here in Bodinayakanur, which is a bit of a distance from the main campus, but we handle things for this area. The office is tucked away in a residential-looking street, so it’s not as loud as being on the highway. It’s a small place, mostly used for administrative things and people coming in to ask about their degrees or exams. We have a few cupboards full of old files and some computers that have been running for years. The walls have some old posters about schedules and rules. It’s a very plain setup. No one comes here for the decor. They come to get their papers signed or to drop off forms. Sometimes there’s a line if it’s the start of a semester, and people end up waiting on the porch outside. We try to get through the stack of papers as fast as we can, but bureaucracy takes time. The staff here has been working together for a while, so we know how the routine goes. It’s just a standard office that serves as a bridge for the university in this part of Tamil Nadu. Nothing more, nothing less. If you walk past the Sadayandinagar area, you’ll see our small sign near the gate. It stays pretty quiet once the office hours are over and we lock up for the night. We’ve been here for a while now.
