Kuna Salon

Kuna Salon is located on Thirumangalam Road in Checkanurani, Madurai. We are very close to Saraswathi Press, which is the best way to explain where we are if you’re asking for directions. Our shop is a small, practical place. We’ve been here for quite a while, serving the people who live and work around Checkanurani. It’s not a fancy salon with bright lights and music, just a normal shop where you can get a haircut. We have a couple of chairs and the basic tools we need. Sometimes the power goes out for a bit, but we just keep going as best as we can with the natural light from the door. The road outside can get a bit dusty and noisy with all the traffic heading towards Madurai, but inside it’s alright. We see a lot of regular customers who have been coming to us since they were kids. Now they bring their own children in. It’s nice to see families grow up like that. We don't have a website or anything like that, we just open the shutters in the morning and wait for people to come in. If you are passing by Saraswathi Press and need a trim, we are right there. We try to do a decent job every time so people come back next month. It’s a quiet life but it’s honest work and we are happy to be here on Thirumangalam Road doing what we know how to do.
