Green Apple Saloon & Hair Saloon

Our place is called Green Apple Saloon & Hair Saloon and we are located at 42, Sonaiyar Street. Most people find us by looking for the Amman Tea Stall, which is right nearby in the Narimedu area of Madurai. We’ve been operating out of this spot for a long time. It’s a decent sized shop for a local place. Being on Sonaiyar Street means there is always something going on outside. You hear the bikes and the talk from the tea stall all day long. We just focus on cutting hair and making sure people look okay when they leave. It isn't a fancy place with expensive chairs, but they are comfortable enough for a twenty-minute sit. Madurai is a busy city, and Narimedu has a lot of families living around. We get all sorts here, from kids who don't want to sit still to the older men who have been coming since we first opened the doors. We use simple tools and keep things straightforward. If you need a shave or just a basic haircut, this is where we do it. Sometimes it gets a bit crowded on Sunday mornings when everyone has the day off. You might have to wait a little bit, but there is always someone to talk to. We like being near the tea stall because we can grab a quick drink between customers. It’s just a normal day at Green Apple Saloon on Sonaiyar Street.
