Al Jannah International School

You’ll find us over at Al Ameen Nagar in the Kosakulampudur area of Madurai. It’s a busy part of town, and we’re right there in the middle of it. Our school building at 1/85-1 is easy to spot if you’re familiar with the neighborhood. We have been operating here for a while, and we’ve seen many groups of students pass through our doors. The classrooms are basic but they have enough space and light for the kids to work. Every morning, the street outside gets a bit crowded with parents dropping off their children on scooters or bikes. It’s a bit of a scramble, but it’s part of the daily routine. We don’t use any complicated teaching methods or fancy technology that nobody knows how to fix. We just focus on the daily lessons and making sure the students are actually reading their books. Madurai heat is no joke, so we do our best to keep the fans running and the rooms as comfortable as possible. Our teachers are usually busy grading papers or setting up for the next day. It’s not the kind of work that gets much praise, but it’s important to us. We see kids grow up from year to year, which is probably the most interesting part of the job. We’re just a local school trying to provide a decent place for education without making things more complicated than they need to be.
