Batra Music Centre

Batra Music Centre is over at B-1284/31 on Rahon Road in the Sunder Nagar area. We are in Guru Nanak Dev Nagar, right opposite the petrol pump, so it's a busy little spot in Ludhiana 141007. The shop is filled with all kinds of things related to music and electronics. It’s not the most organized place in the world, with boxes stacked in the corners and wires tangled up here and there on the shelves. We spend our time testing out speakers or helping people find the right cables for their setups at home. The smell of old electronics and a bit of dust is pretty much always in the air when you walk in. We don't have a lot of space for customers to walk around, so it gets a bit cramped when more than two people are inside at once. Being opposite the petrol pump means there’s a lot of engine noise and people coming and going all day long. We just sit behind the counter and wait for someone to come in needing a repair or a new piece of gear for their system. It’s a simple life, really. We don't have any big marketing plans or fancy displays to show off. We just know where everything is kept, even if it looks like a bit of a mess to someone else. The music we play is usually whatever we're testing at the moment or just the local radio stations. We’ve been here a long time and the building has some character.
