Nanda Travels is over at Bhadaur House 15. It’s an old building, so it has a lot of character, but the stairs can be a bit creaky when you walk up. We’ve been in this space for a while now. The office is filled with the smell of paper and old wood furniture. We have these big windows that let in a lot of light, which is great until the afternoon sun hits the desks and makes it hard to see. We spend our time booking trips and talking to regular customers who have been coming to us for years. It’s a family-run kind of feel here. My brother handles the car rentals and I do the flight bookings. We have an old clock on the wall that chimed every hour until it finally broke last month, now it’s just for decoration. People like coming here because it’s quiet compared to the busy main roads. We usually have some chai around eleven in the morning. We don’t use any fancy booking software, just the standard stuff that gets the job done for us. The files are kept in these metal cabinets that make a loud screeching noise whenever you open them. It’s not a shiny corporate office, just a place where we work hard and try to get people on their way. We know the neighbors well and often chat with them when we step out for air. It’s a comfortable place to spend the day.
