Sri Rama Travels

We’ve been over here in Jawahar Nagar for a long time, running Sri Rama Travels from a small corner spot. It’s a quiet enough neighborhood most days, which is nice for us. We don't have a huge staff, just a couple of people who know how to get things done. We spend our days mostly on the phone or writing down names and dates for trips. People in Jawahar Nagar know where to find us if they need a car for a wedding or a ticket to the city. We don't have any polished brochures or fancy uniforms. We just wear what’s comfortable and talk to folks like they’re our neighbors, because usually, they are. The office has an old wooden desk that’s been here since we opened. There’s always a stack of papers that needs sorting, but we get to it eventually. We aren't interested in being some big national company. We just like helping the people we know and making sure they have a good trip. Sometimes the rain makes the street outside a mess, but we still show up and open the doors. It’s a simple way to make a living, and it suits us just fine. We just take it one day at a time, booking one trip after another until the sun goes down. Most of the time we're just drinking tea and waiting for the next person to walk through the door with a plan. It is a steady way to spend the day.
