Uma Sila Trek & Tours

If you are looking for us, we are at Shop No- 02 in the Lhamo Khang, Lba Complex. This is right in the Zangasti area of Leh. It is a small shop, but we manage to get a lot done from here. We are Uma Sila Trek & Tours. We focus on getting people out into the hills and showing them around the villages. We are just a small local team. We don’t have a big fancy office with air conditioning. We have our desks, some maps on the wall, and our notebooks. Most days are spent talking to people who walk into the Lba Complex looking for a bit of help with their trip. We tell them which monasteries are open and where they can find a good meal on the way to the border. Being in Leh Ho 194101 means we have to be practical about the weather and the roads. We organize the vehicles and find the right people to lead the treks. It takes a lot of coordination to make sure everything goes right in the mountains. We just do our best to be honest about what is possible. We’ve been around Zangasti for a long time and we know most of the people who work in the market. It’s a tight community and we just play our part in it. Our door is usually open for anyone who needs to figure out their next move.
