Zanskar Trek

Our place is in the Lakruk Complex on Fort Road. If you know Leh, you know Fort Road is one of the main places where everything happens. We are Zanskar Trek and we have been in this complex for a good while. Most of our work is about getting people into the deeper parts of the mountains, especially towards Zanskar. We are not some big corporate entity. We are just a few guys who know how to pack a bag and walk the trails. We spend a lot of time checking on horses and making sure our camping gear is still in good shape. In 194101, you have to be ready for anything. We sit in the office and talk to travelers about the routes through the valleys. We don’t use fancy brochures or big promises. We just tell them it’s going to be a long walk and the views are worth the sore legs. The Lakruk Complex is a good spot because people can find us easily. We do the permits, we find the guides, and we make sure the food is sorted for the treks. It’s a lot of small details that have to be right. We just take it one day at a time and keep our boots ready. That is how we have always done things here. If the office is empty, we are probably out checking on some equipment or talking to the drivers.
