Ladakh Tourism

You can find us over at Hotel Thongsal on Yurthung Road. We are pretty close to the Shanti Stupa, so we see a lot of people walking by every day. Ladakh Tourism is what we call ourselves, but we are just a small group working out of this spot in Leh. The view from up here near the stupa is great, especially when the sun is going down over the valley. We spend our time helping folks figure out their way around Leh Ho and the surrounding areas. Since we are based at the hotel, things are usually moving around quite a bit. We get people coming in with all sorts of questions about permits or how to get to the monasteries. We try to give them straight answers without making things complicated. It’s a nice place to work because you get to meet people from all over who are just happy to be in the mountains. We deal with the daily stuff like booking cars and talking to local guides who know the backroads. Sometimes the phones are busy or we are out helping someone, but we stay pretty steady. We’ve been in this part of 194101 for a while now and we know the neighborhood well. It is just a regular local business trying to make sure things run okay for the visitors. We don't have a lot of bells and whistles, just a desk and some local knowledge of the roads.
