Bodhi Travel is based right here in Leh Ho. We don't have a complicated story. We just started doing this because we know the area and people kept asking for help. The mountains in Ladakh are something else, but they can be tricky if you don't know the way. We stay in the local area, keeping things simple. Our office isn't anything fancy, just a room with what we need to work. Sometimes we’re out on the road and the office stays quiet. We prefer it that way. In the winter, things slow down a lot in 194101. We spend that time getting ready for when the passes open again. We aren't a big chain or anything. It’s just local people working here. We've seen the town grow and change, but the mountains stay the same. If you need someone who knows the backroads, that's what we do. We don't put on an act. If a road is closed, we tell you it's closed. Honesty is better than making people wait. We handle a bit of everything, from treks to car hires. It’s a lot of work but we like it. Most days involve a lot of tea and checking the weather reports. That’s life in Leh. We're just Bodhi Travel, doing our thing in the heart of Ladakh. It’s a hard place to live but we wouldn't want to be anywhere else. People come from all over, and we just help them find their way.
