Spiritual Trek

Spiritual Trek is on Chanspa Road, right across from the Moravian Mission School. You can usually hear the kids playing or singing if you come by during the day. It’s a nice part of Leh, a bit away from the main chaos of the market but still busy enough. We focus mostly on the walking side of things. We have a couple of guides who have been climbing these hills since they were small. They don't say much, but they know where every rock and stream is. Our office isn't much to look at. We have some old trekking poles in the corner and a few maps that have seen better days. We don't use a lot of fancy words to describe what we do. We just take people out into the mountains and bring them back safely. Sometimes the weather turns bad and we have to change the plan at the last minute. That's just part of the deal when you are working at this altitude. We like to keep things relaxed. There is no point in rushing when you are at 3500 meters. Most people who come to us are looking for a bit of quiet, and we try to give them that. We've lived on this road for years, and we know all the neighbors. It’s a small community and we all try to help each other out when the season gets busy.
