Shambala Tours

Shambala Tours is based at Shop Number 14 in the Hemis Complex on Upper Tukcha Road. We are right in the Zangsti area, which is a good place to be. We’ve been here for years, watching the town change and grow. Our work is pretty straightforward—we organize tours for people visiting Ladakh. Most of our time is spent making sure the jeeps are ready and the permits for the border areas are all in order. It’s a lot of paperwork, but it’s necessary if you want to see the interesting parts of the region. We aren't a big corporation; we are just a few locals who know how to get things done. The office is a bit small, but it’s where everything happens. We sit here and talk to travelers about a good time to leave for the lakes to avoid the traffic. The weather in Leh can be tricky, so we are always checking the forecast and talking to people coming back from the passes. We don't do anything flashy. We just make sure your trip goes as planned without any big headaches. If you’re walking through Zangsti, you’ll see our sign. We are usually here from early morning until the sun goes down behind the peaks. It's a decent way to spend the day, helping folks figure out their path through these mountains.
