Mindruk Trek & Meditation

Mindruk Trek & Meditation is located on Zangsti Road. It’s a busy part of Leh, right in the thick of things. Our office is a bit of a refuge from the noise outside. We keep it fairly simple inside, with some cushions and a low table where we can sit and talk. It’s not a fancy place with a lot of chrome and glass. It’s mostly wood and a bit of incense smell in the air. We’ve been on Zangsti Road for some time now. You see a lot of different people passing by our window. Some are in a hurry, and some are just wandering. We try to keep things calm in our space. Running a place like this in Ladakh is a mix of being very busy in the summer and very quiet when the snow starts to fall. We don’t have a lot of rules about how things should look. If a chair is comfortable, we keep it. If a map is useful, it stays on the wall. We spend our days balancing the logistics of trekking with the quiet of meditation. It’s an interesting way to live. We don’t use big words to describe what we do. We just open the door in the morning and see who needs help or a place to sit for a minute. It is a good spot to be if you want to see the town.
