Ladakh Decouverte

We are up here on the second floor of the Hemis Complex, specifically at Shop No-6. It’s right in the middle of the Main Bazar in Leh. If you’re walking around the market, you just have to look for the stairs. Being on the second floor means we get a bit of a break from the noise on the street, but we can still see everything going on below. Ladakh Decouverte has been at this spot for a while now. Most days, we just sit here and wait for people to drop by. It’s a small space, nothing fancy, but it works for what we do. The 194101 zip code is pretty much the heart of everything here. Usually, it’s just us handling the paperwork and answering questions. Sometimes the electricity goes out or the internet is slow, but that’s just how things are in Leh. We spend a lot of time talking about the roads and the weather because that’s what everyone wants to know. If you are looking for us, just head to the Hemis Complex. It’s easy to find once you are in the Bazar. We keep the shop open during the regular hours, though sometimes we might step out for a quick tea. It’s a quiet life up here on the second floor. We don't have big signs or anything, just the shop number. It feels like home to us after all these years. We just keep things moving, one day at a time.
