Indo Himalaya

You can find Indo Himalaya right on the Changspa Main Road. It’s a pretty easy place to spot if you’re wandering around that part of Leh. The road outside is always full of people, mostly travelers with big backpacks and locals going about their business. Our office is a simple room. We have a few wooden chairs and a table that has seen better days, but it’s sturdy enough. We don’t really go in for a lot of professional-looking stuff. It feels more like a home office than a business most of the time. We get a lot of dust from the road, so we are always wiping down the desks, but it’s a losing battle. The weather here in Ladakh is something else. One minute it’s burning hot in the sun, and the next, you’re looking for a sweater because the clouds moved in. We spend our days answering questions and making sure everything is in order. It’s not a complicated life. We like being in the middle of Changspa because there is always something happening. You hear the bells from the stupa and the sound of the wind in the poplar trees. It’s a noisy, dusty, beautiful place to work. We don't have a big marketing team or anything like that. It's just us here, doing what we do every day. We hope people feel comfortable just dropping in to say hello or ask a question.
