High Asia

High Asia is based right inside Hotel Tsokar on Fort Road in Leh. Fort Road is always a bit busy with people and taxis moving around, but our spot is easy to find once you get to the hotel. We have been here for a while now, just working out of this space in Leh Ladakh 194101. It is a local business run by people who actually live in these mountains year-round. We don't try to act like a big corporate travel agency because we are just not that. It is more about knowing which road is blocked and which valley has the better weather this week. Living in High Asia means you get used to the dust and the bright sun. We spend a lot of our time just organizing things and making sure everything is ready for the next trip. The hotel is a good landmark for us. People stop by to ask for directions or just to see what is possible to do in a few days. We don't have a lot of fancy brochures. Usually, we just sit down and explain the map to whoever walks in. It is a practical way of doing things. The winter months are quiet, but when summer hits, Fort Road gets lively again. That is when we are usually at our desks from early morning until late.
