Great Himalayan Adventure

Down in Changspa, you can find us at Great Himalayan Adventure. This part of Leh is always full of travelers and we’ve been here for quite some time now. We don't have a flashy storefront with neon lights, just a simple place where we organize trips into the mountains. Living in the Himalayas teaches you to be patient, and we bring that attitude to our work. Whether you are looking for a long walk or a drive to the border, we just try to get the details right. We know the local porters and drivers because they are our neighbors and friends. It’s a small community here in Ladakh. We don't really go for the high-pressure sales stuff you see in big cities. If you want to go somewhere, we tell you what it costs and how long it takes. Some paths are better in July and some are better in September, and we'll tell you that straight. We spend a lot of our time making sure the vehicles are running okay because the roads here can be really rough on engines. It’s a lot of work but we like being our own bosses. If you are walking through Changspa, look for our sign. We are usually around to have a chat about the mountains or the local weather. There is always someone here who knows the way.
