Explorers

Explorers is our small operation based right here in Leh. You can find us at S 6 in the Raku Complex, which is on Fort Road. We are on the second floor, so you have to walk up a bit. It’s a simple space where we organize things. We spend most of our time figuring out how to get people from one place to another without too much trouble. Ladakh is a big place and the roads are not like what you find in the cities. We’ve lived here our whole lives, so we understand how the terrain works. Sometimes things move slow here, and that’s just how it is. We don’t try to make things sound more complicated than they are. We just arrange the transport and the paths for those who want to see the landscape. The office is usually open during the day, though sometimes we are out helping with a group or checking on vehicles. It’s a local business, through and through. We don't have a big corporate team, just a few of us who know the area well. If you’re around Fort Road and want to talk about a trip, you can just stop by the Raku Complex. We usually have some tea going and we can show you where things are on the map. It’s a practical way of doing things, no fuss involved. We just like being part of the community here in Leh.
