Altitude Adventure

Altitude Adventure is located on Ford Road in Leh. It is a simple place, much like the other offices you see around town. We don't have a big team of sales people or anything like that. It is just us locals who know the land. We spend most of our time dealing with the realities of living at this height. The air is thin, and everything takes a bit more effort, but we are used to it by now. We spend our mornings checking the weather and seeing which roads are clear for travel. Sometimes we have to tell people they can't go where they wanted because of the snow, which isn't always fun, but safety comes first. Our office has a few maps and a couple of chairs that have seen a lot of use. We don't go in for fancy marketing or trying to sound like a big international company. We are just a local business trying to make a living in a beautiful but harsh environment. Most of our customers find us because someone they met on a bus or in a guesthouse told them to come by. We appreciate that kind of word of mouth. It feels more honest. When we aren't in the office, we are probably out somewhere in the hills ourselves, because even though we live here, we never get tired of the view.
