Kullu science School

Up here in Kullu, specifically in the Dhalpur area, we have Kullu science School. It’s right in the heart of things, not far from where all the local activity happens. We’ve been at this location, 175101, for a good stretch of time. The air is usually fresh, though it gets quite cold in the winter months. Our building is pretty straightforward. We have classrooms and some basic lab equipment that we’ve gathered over the years. It isn’t a high-tech facility with flashing lights, but it works for what we need. Most of us who work here live nearby, so we just walk to the school every morning. We don’t really have a big philosophy or a grand vision we talk about. We just show up, open the books, and try to explain things as clearly as we can. Sometimes the electricity goes out and we just have to wait it out or move closer to the windows. That’s just life in the hills. We focus on the basics. There is a lot of talk about modern education elsewhere, but we just stick to what we know. The desks are a bit old and some of the chairs creak, but they serve their purpose. We are just a group of people in Dhalpur trying to run a school the best way we know how, without making a big deal out of it. It’s honest work and it keeps us busy.
