Tagor College

Tagor College is situated in Mukkam, which is part of the Kozhikode district. It is a green area, and when the monsoon hits, the whole place gets very wet and lush. The college itself is a modest building with long corridors and old wooden benches that have been around for a long time. We are not one of those modern, high-tech institutions you see in big cities. It is a local college for local people. Most students take the bus to get here from the surrounding villages. We have different departments, but the atmosphere is quite small and familiar. You will usually find students hanging out near the front gate or in the small canteen during their breaks. The canteen doesn't have a big menu, just the usual snacks and tea. We don't have a team of people to write fancy brochures for us. We just focus on the lectures and making sure the library is open for those who need it. The staff room is always full of teachers correcting papers and talking about the next set of exams. It is a bit of a climb to get to some parts of the campus, but we are used to it. We keep things simple and practical. If you come to Mukkam, you will find us easily enough. We are just a regular part of the community here in Kozhikode.
