The White School

The White School is situated in Perumanna, which is a bit outside the main city of Kozhikode. Our pincode is 673019. It’s a fairly quiet area, which is good for a school environment. The building is modern enough but we don't make a big deal out of it. We have several classrooms and some space for the kids to run around during their breaks. The staff here are mostly local people who know the area well. We spend our days following the timetable and making sure the lessons are covered. It’s not always easy, especially when the weather is very hot, but we have fans in the rooms to help. We have a small library and some basic facilities for the students. The school gate is usually busy in the mornings and then again in the afternoon when everyone is heading home. We don't use a lot of fancy words to describe what we do. It’s just about showing up every day and helping the students with their work. Parents often stop by to check on how things are going or to drop off something their child forgot. We’ve been in Perumanna for some time and have become a regular part of the landscape here. It’s just a place where learning happens in a straightforward way without too much fuss or extra noise from the city.
