You can find us out in Monassery, which is reached via Mukkam. It’s a bit of a quiet area compared to the city, but that probably helps the students focus more on their pharmacy books. The college building is a solid, practical structure that has seen many rainy seasons. You can see some water marks on the exterior walls, which is pretty normal for this region. Inside, the hallways usually have that faint smell of chemicals from the labs. We spend a lot of time in those labs, making sure the scales are balanced and the glassware is clean. The students are mostly busy with their practicals or sitting in the library with huge stacks of papers. We have a small canteen that serves basic meals and tea, and it’s always crowded during the lunch hour. The staff room is usually a mess of folders and half-empty tea cups. We don’t have a big fancy office; it’s just a place where we get the paperwork done. The power goes out occasionally, and we just wait for it to come back on while the students chat in the halls. There’s a small patch of grass outside where people sit when the sun isn’t too strong. We don’t do a lot of shouting about what we do. We just open up in the morning, do the lectures, and help the students with their experiments. It’s a lot of hard work but it’s a good routine for everyone involved.
