Nmup School

We've been here on Manari Road for quite a while now. Most people in Panniyankara know where the gate is, right by the turn. It's a busy spot during the morning drop-off, but that's just how it goes with a school like Nmup School. We have several classrooms and a small area where the kids play when it's not raining too hard. Some of the desks are getting a bit old, but they still work fine for the lessons. The teachers usually arrive early to get things ready before the first bell rings. You can hear the noise from the street sometimes, especially with the motorcycles passing by on the way to town. We try to keep things organized, though it gets a bit chaotic when lunch starts. The building has stayed mostly the same over the years, maybe a new coat of paint here and there. Families from around Panniyankara send their children here because it's close and easy to get to. Sometimes we have meetings with parents out front if the office is too crowded with paperwork. It’s just a regular place where teaching happens every day. We don't have anything fancy, just the basics for the students to sit and learn their subjects. Most days are pretty quiet once the lessons start and everyone is inside. We've got a few trees near the entrance that give some shade when the sun is out. It feels like a part of the neighborhood now.
