Ket College

Ket College is situated in Ulliyeri, which is part of Kozhikode. The address is just the college name and the town, so we are easy to spot if you are in the area. It is a typical college setup for this part of Kerala. Students come from all the nearby villages and the commute can be a bit of a trek for some of them. We have the usual lecture halls and a place for students to sit during their free time. It is a quiet enough area most of the time, except when the buses arrive or leave. We do not have a lot of extra stuff, just the basics you need for a college education. The building shows its age a little bit, but it does the job. Most of us here have been working at the college for years, so we know how things go. We do not spend time on fancy brochures or glossy flyers. If someone wants to study, they just come and ask at the office. The rainy season makes things a bit damp around the entrance, but that is just how it is in Kozhikode. We just focus on the classes and making sure the exams happen on time. It is a very standard, local institution without any big-city pretensions. Students usually hang out near the gate after their classes are done for the day, talking about their plans. It is just a regular college day for us.
