Islamic Arts College

Out here in Kodiyathoor, near Mukkam, the air is always a bit damp and the greenery is everywhere. Our college is situated in this quiet corner of Kozhikode, away from the noise of the city. It’s a place where students come to focus on their studies in a peaceful setting. The campus is quite simple, with buildings that blend into the local surroundings. We spend a lot of our time dealing with the usual administrative tasks, like keeping track of attendance and managing the library. The students often sit outside under the trees during their breaks, talking and sharing snacks. Life moves at a bit of a slower pace here than it does in the main town. We don't have high-tech facilities, but we have enough for our students to learn what they need for their arts courses. The local community is very involved, and you’ll often see people from the village stopping by to say hello. The monsoon season is a big part of life here; the rain can be relentless, and we spend a lot of time making sure the roofs don't leak and the paths stay clear. It’s a straightforward institution. We provide a place for young people to gain knowledge and prepare for their futures. The staff knows most of the students by name, which gives it a more personal feel. It’s just a regular college in a beautiful part of Kerala, doing its best to serve the people who live in and around Kodiyathoor.
