Dayapuram Arts & Science College

Located right near the NIT Campus in Kozhikode, this college has been a fixture in the area for a while. It is a place where you’ll find students from all walks of life trying to get through their degrees in arts and science. The campus itself is pretty green, which is nice when the Kozhikode heat gets a bit too much, though the rain can be a real hassle sometimes. We aren't a big, polished institution with glass buildings; it’s more of a practical setup with classrooms that have seen plenty of use. Every morning, you see the students trickling in, some looking more awake than others. The canteen is usually the heart of the place, where everyone grabs a tea or a quick snack between the lectures. Our staff works out of a modest set of offices, and we spend a lot of our time just keeping track of schedules and making sure the labs are stocked. It’s a straightforward environment without much fuss. We don't go around making grand claims about being the best or anything like that. We just provide the space and the books for people who want to learn. The library is decent, and it’s usually the quietest corner you can find here. Most of us who work here have been around for years, so we know the rhythms of the academic year by heart. It’s just a regular college doing its bit in Kerala.
