Shekhawati Restaurant & Dhaba

Shekhawati Restaurant & Dhaba is located right on NH 12 in Kota. If you are driving out towards Ballop Village, you will see us on the side of the road. Being a dhaba on the highway means we see all sorts of people. We get truck drivers who have been on the road for days and families traveling across Rajasthan. It is a dusty spot, but that is typical for this part of Kota City. We have plenty of space for parking, which is what most people are looking for when they pull off NH 12. The air is hot out here most of the year. We have a simple setup with basic seating. We don't have any fancy air conditioning or waiters in suits. It is just a place to stop and eat. The kitchen is always going because someone is always hungry on the highway. We get our supplies from the local markets and the nearby village. The staff lives close by, so we are all locals here. We know the road well. We have seen it change over the years as more people travel this way. It’s a lot of hard work keeping a dhaba running, especially with the heat and the long hours. We don't complain much, though. We just keep the tea hot and the food ready for whoever pulls in next. It's a plain life on the highway.
