Heritage Garden Restaurant

Our restaurant is located by Lucky Burj on Station Road, quite close to Kshar Bagh here in Kota. We have a bit of a garden area which is nice when the weather isn’t too hot in the evenings. It’s an old spot, and we try to keep the plants looking decent, though the dust from the road makes it a constant battle. People usually stop by when they’re near the station or just walking around the neighborhood. We don’t have fancy uniforms or a complicated menu. It’s mostly just honest food that we know how to cook well. My uncle started this place, and now a few of us keep it going day to day. We spend our mornings getting the charcoal ready and prep the vegetables we bought from the market. It gets busy when the trains arrive, and you can hear the whistles from the station if the wind is right. We have some big old trees that give good shade, which helps keep the place a bit cooler during the afternoon. The tables are sturdy wood and have been here almost as long as I have. We don't do much in terms of decorations, as we think the food and the outdoor air are enough for most people. It’s a simple life running a garden kitchen, but we get to talk to a lot of interesting travelers and locals every single day.
