Chand Tent House

Chand Tent House is based near the Bhimpura Industrial Area bus stand in Cablenagar. We deal with all the stuff you need for a function or a local wedding. We have the big tents, the metal poles, and lots of chairs. It’s heavy work, moving all that gear around in the heat. My crew and I spend a lot of time loading and unloading trucks. We have different colored fabrics for the decorations, though some of them have faded a bit from the sun over the years. We also have some basic lighting and fans for the summer events. It’s a busy business during the wedding season. Sometimes we are working all night to get a site ready for the next morning. When it’s not the season, things are much slower and we spend our time repairing the tents and painting the poles so they don't rust. The shop is more of a warehouse really. It’s filled with stacks of folded carpets and crates of dishes. People from the industrial area and the nearby villages come to us when they have a celebration or a religious gathering. I’ve been doing this for a long time, so I know how to set up a tent even when the ground is uneven or rocky. It’s not always easy, especially when it’s windy, but we manage. We just try to make sure everything is standing firm before we leave.
