Ambika Tent House

Ambika Tent House is based at Chhawani Chouraha in Kaithun. Our business is mostly about physical labor and being outdoors, no matter what the weather is like. We have a big storage area where we keep the iron poles, the heavy canvas tents, and the rolls of carpeting. Most of our time is spent loading these things onto trucks and hauling them to different sites for weddings or local festivals. It is heavy, tiring work, and our hands are usually calloused from handling the ropes and metal. We don't have a fancy showroom because most of our work happens out in the fields or in front of people's houses. The office at the Chouraha is mostly just a place to store the gear and take some phone calls. When it is wedding season, we hardly get any sleep at all, moving from one location to another to set up and then tear down the structures. The fabrics get dusty and sometimes they get torn, so we spend our quiet days doing repairs and cleaning the equipment. We are just a group of workers who know how to put up a sturdy shelter. It is not a glamorous job, but it is what we know how to do, and we have been doing it around Kaithun for a long time.
