Alfa Decorium

Our shop is in Gumanpura 15, which is a pretty active area for shopping. We call it Alfa Decorium, and we mostly focus on things people need for their houses. The shop is filled with samples of fabrics, curtains, and various bits of hardware. It can get a bit overwhelming with all the colors and textures piled up on the tables, but we know where everything is kept. People usually come in with measurements written on scraps of paper, trying to figure out what will look good in their living rooms. We spend a lot of time unrolling materials and showing how they catch the light. It’s not a quiet place because there is always the sound of scissors or tape measures clicking. The street outside is busy with shoppers, so we get a lot of people just walking in to look around or ask for ideas. We don’t have a big corporate team; it’s just us here managing the inventory and talking to folks. Some days we are busy till late evening, especially when people are getting their homes ready for a big wedding or a festival. The floor is usually covered in small snippets of thread or dust from the materials we handle. We keep it as organized as we can, but it’s a working shop, not a museum. We like being in Gumanpura because there is always something going on. It is a good place to have a business like this where people are always looking for something new for their homes.
