We are situated in the Industrial Estate over in Umayanaloor. The post office is right there, so it makes it easy for our mail. The industrial estate is a quiet enough place compared to the city center. We have a decent sized unit where we handle all our milk processing. It’s a lot of physical work, lifting heavy cans and monitoring the tanks. We don't have any fancy robots; it’s mostly just us doing the work with our hands and some basic machinery. The walls are white tile and we spend half our time making sure they stay that way. The air always feels a bit damp because of the steam and the water we use for cleaning. We usually start our shift when most people are still asleep. It’s a peaceful time to work before the rest of the estate wakes up. Our team is small, just a few local guys who know the dairy business. We don't have a big HR department or corporate meetings. We just talk over lunch about what needs to be fixed or who is coming to pick up the next load. It’s a straightforward way to earn a living. We’ve been in Umayanaloor for years and we like the location. It’s practical for getting the milk from the farms and then out to the shops. That is pretty much our daily life here at K.C.A. Milk Products.
