Jinendra Sortex

We are down here in Bigbazar at Athin Sugunan and it is a busy spot where things never really slow down. Honestly it gets quite loud with the sorting machines running all day long. Jinendra Sortex is mostly about getting the stones and the bad grains out of the piles that come in from the local fields. It is a lot of dusty work and my clothes usually end up covered in grit by the time the sun goes down. We have been in this location for a good while now and people around here know where to find us. The sorter we use is an old friend by now even though it acts up sometimes. You just have to know how to kick it in the right spot I guess. My desk is usually covered in papers and small samples of rice or dal that need looking at. It isn’t a fancy office with air conditioning or anything like that. We just have some fans that move the hot air around. People walk in and out all day asking about prices or when their batch will be ready. I try to keep things moving but sometimes the power goes out and we just sit outside on the stools for a bit. It’s just how things go in this part of town. The tea stall next door is where I spend half my money because the guys here work better with a hot cup in their hands. We just keep doing what we do every day without making a big fuss.
