V. M. Oils Private Limited

If you head up to the second floor at 67/49 Strand Road, you’ll find the office of V. M. Oils Private Limited. Being near the river means there’s always a lot of movement around here, with trucks and warehouses everywhere. Our office is a bit old-fashioned, with heavy wooden desks and stacks of ledgers. We’ve been in the oil business for a long time, focusing on wholesale and distribution. It’s a lot of coordinating between the refineries and the buyers. We spend our days tracking prices and making sure the tankers are on schedule. It’s not a very exciting job to talk about, but it’s vital for the shops and factories we supply. The stairs up to the second floor are a bit steep, but it gives us a good view of the street below. We aren't a big, flashy company with a huge staff. It’s just a handful of us who have worked together for years. We know our customers by name, and most of them have been buying from us since the beginning. We don't do much in the way of sales pitches. We just provide the product and handle the billing. Sometimes the traffic on Strand Road makes it hard for people to reach us, but we’re always here during the day. It’s a steady, traditional way of doing business that hasn't changed much over the years. We just keep our heads down and do the paperwork.
