Pantry Met

We are located at 58 Shyampukur Street. It is an old, narrow street in a very traditional part of Kolkata. Our building has been here for a long time and it has a lot of character, even if the paint is peeling a bit in some spots. We work on pantry items and various metal things for kitchens. It’s a lot of cutting, bending, and polishing metal. The space is a bit tight, especially when we get a large shipment of raw materials in. We have to stack things carefully just to have room to move around. The neighborhood is full of life, with tea shops and people going about their business. We often hear the sounds of the city coming through the open doors while we work. It isn't a modern factory with robots. It’s just us using our hands and some old machines to make things. Sometimes the electricity goes out and we just take a break and sit on the steps for a bit until it comes back. It’s a very human way of working. We don't have any corporate slogans. We just try to make things that are sturdy and do what they’re supposed to do. People in the area know us by name, and we like that. It’s a small shop, but we’ve managed to stay busy for years without needing any flashy advertising.
