Papa Stores

Papa Stores is right there in Ananda Pally West, over in Purba Putiary near the Ps Regent Park. It’s a typical neighborhood shop where we have a bit of everything on the shelves. We open up early in the morning before most people are even awake to get the stock ready. It’s a small space, so things can get a bit crowded when more than two people are inside at the same time. We know almost everyone who walks through the door by their first name. We’ve been serving the folks in Ananda Pally for a long time now. The shelves are filled with jars, bags, and boxes of all sorts of things. Sometimes we run out of something, and we have to tell people to come back tomorrow once the new delivery arrives. It’s not a supermarket, just a local store where you can grab what you need for dinner or pick up some soap. The floor is concrete and we sweep it every evening before we lock up. It’s a lot of standing around and talking to neighbors about the weather or how their kids are doing. It's a simple life, running a store like this. We don't have any fancy computers, just a notebook where we keep track of things and write down what we need to order next. The street lamp outside usually flickers on right as we are closing the shutters for the night. We live nearby, so it’s just a short walk home for us.
